So it begins….

I started back into photography almost six years ago. It hadn’t been on my radar in years. I used to go out every weekend with my dad and take pictures. Those were the days when you had to take the film to get developed and wait and pray your got your shots. About six years ago, I found my way back to it, with no intention of shooting anything but nature and landscapes. Obviously that don’t work out quite as planned. I discovered a love for working with people, and I discovered a love of creating light that brings out not only their best, but also my interpretation of them. No matter what, whoever takes your picture will will inevitably on some level make the picture about them… how they see the person in front of them. It’s quite a privilege to share that with people. I have always been scared to go into business for fear that I would lose my voice in the process. Now I realize that that voice is inevitable. So here I am, finally licensed, insured, trying to make this new website in the hopes that I can make this business work. I believe I am good at what I do. I have come to accept what I am and am not as a photographer. I appreciate you being here, taking the time to look around. And if you’ve made it this far, I invite you wholeheartedly to come back from time to time. I have no idea what I am going to do with this blog section yet. Maybe you’d like to find out with me.
